The Hai Hui Shan Buddhist Centre in Barcelona

Since its establishment on 1 December 2019, the Hai Hui Shan Buddhist Community, under the leadership of Master Renshan, has gathered many Buddhist worshippers from Europe and successfully organised a series of charitable and cultural activities for friendly relations between China and the West.

The Hai Hui Shan Buddhist Community Centre is located at CARRER D’ ALI BEI, 59, in Barcelona’s small Chinatown, next to the Arc de Triomphe and Ciutadella Park. The Chinese community has been doing business and living here since the late 1990s. It can be said that this area is a place with a long tradition of cultural exchange between East and West. The location of the Hai Hui Shan Buddhist Association Centre helps to serve both Chinese neighbours and the local population, facilitating interaction between people of different cultural backgrounds, understanding and helping each other.

The centre has two floors, which are spacious and functional. The upper floor is used for receptions, offices, and exhibitions of Chinese Buddhist culture. The ground floor is a simple Buddhist hall dedicated to the Three Sacred Halls and the Temple of the Pure Land, which is used for blessings, community practices, and spiritual purification. The compound was officially opened on 26 May 2023, the auspicious date of Sakyamuni Buddha’s birthday.

Great love knows no boundaries. We welcome more friends to join us in building the home of Hai Hui Shan. Blessings and wisdom to all!
